Systems Analyst


Position Summary

The System Analyst is responsible for administering, maintaining and optimizing the company’s core enterprise systems to support efficient, scalable and data-driven operations. Serving as the primary internal owner and subject matter expert for Acumatica ERP, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (legacy system during transition), SPS Commerce (EDI) and Microsoft 365, this role ensures system stability, data integrity and alignment with organizational goals.

Working closely with Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, and executive leadership, the System Analyst drives continuous improvement, oversees system governance and leads decision-making related to configuration, integrations, and process enhancements. While external consultants provide technical support, this position retains internal ownership and strategic oversight to ensure systems effectively meet evolving business needs.


Essential Job Functions


Core Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary administrator and functional analyst for the company’s ERP system (Acumatica).
  • Analyze business processes and translate operational requirements into system configurations and enhancements
  • Design, configure, test, and deploy ERP modules including Finance, Inventory, Order Management, Purchasing, and Reporting.
  • Maintain system integrity, data accuracy, and security across all business applications.
  • Lead system upgrades, patches, and new feature rollouts.
  • Act as liaison between business stakeholders, vendors, and external consultants

Integrations & Automation
  • Design and manage integrations between ERP and third-party systems such as EDI, shipping platforms, CRM, and eCommerce tools.
  • Monitor data flows, troubleshoot failures, and implement preventative controls.
  • Develop automated workflows, reports, dashboards, and alerts to improve operational efficiency.

Reporting & Data Analysis
  • Design and maintain operational and financial reports using ERP reporting tools and general inquiries.
  • Support leadership with data-driven insights for inventory management, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting, tax, and audit requirements through accurate system configuration.

Support & Governance
  • Provide Tier 2/3 support for system-related issues across departments.
  • Document system architecture, configurations, processes, and controls
  • Establish best practices for change management, access control, and system governance.
  • Train end users and create system documentation and SOPs.

Working Relationships

I work closely with Finance leadership, Operations, Supply Chain, Sales, and external consultants. I serve as the internal system owner and decision-maker, ensuring continuity, scalability, and alignment between business needs and technology platforms.
